Selectable Drive Modes

As fast as the terrain or weather conditions change, you can quickly adapt with the twist of a dial with Selectable Drive Modes. From mild to extreme, selectable drive modes help keep you in control wherever your day takes you.

    Off-Roading

    Selecting this mode locks the 4WD system, which lowers throttle response and holds gears longer. While boosting torque and allowing wheel spin to help maintain forward momentum.

    Eco

    Monitors driving characteristics then adjusts engine and transmission performance to help maximize fuel efficiency.

    Normal

    The default mode that is for ordinary road conditions with a comfortable ride.

    Rock Crawl

    When this mode is selected, it locks 4WD and holds lower gears longer to minimize shifting; accelerator dampens to minimize throttle response.

    Slippery

    Controls throttle response to reduce over acceleration plus, regulates shift points for confident handling.

    Sport

    When selected, 4x4 auto is engaged for better on-road traction while holding gears longer, increasing throttle response and crisper shifts.

    Tow/Haul

    Helps reduce the amount of upshifts and downshifts when hauling a trailer in stop-and-go traffic or through rolling hills.

    Baja

    For high-speed off-road driving. Baja mode optimizes the throttle control for better response and torque delivery, while also tuning the suspension for improved traction and stability control. *
    *Using baja mode on dry, hard surfaces could produce some vibration, driveline bind-up, and potential excessive tire and vehicle wear depending on the four-wheel drive mode selection.
