Intelligent 4WD With Terrain Management System

Seven distinct drive modes help your SUV adapt to different road conditions. Normal for around-town driving, Eco, Sport for more spirited trips, Tow/Haul for improved towing and hauling performance, Grass/Gravel/Snow for loose terrain, Sand for low-traction situations, and Mud/Ruts for uneven surfaces. Manually select either 2H, 4H or 4A modes in each drive mode.

Available Control Trac® with eLSD 4WD System

When a level patch of dirt becomes a stretch of rutted mud, be ready. When activated, the system locks the rear axle completely to optimize traction. Get off-road performance when the terrain demands it. Included on the Timberline® model and available on all 4x4 models.
Always consult the owner’s manual before off-road driving, know your terrain and trail difficulty, and use appropriate safety gear. Follow all laws and drive on designated off-road trails and recreation areas. Ford is committed to the preservation of the environment and treading lightly.
