      Mustang: Fun-to-Drive for 60 years

      Mustang number 10,000,000 is a GT Convertible painted White, with a V8 Engine and a 6-Speed Manual Transmission. The spec pays homage to the first serialized Mustang, VIN 001, produced in March of 1964. That first Mustang was the same colour, body type, and engine type. Back then, the available V8 Engine fed 164 horsepower to a 3-Speed Manual Transmission.

          1965 and 2025 Mustang Fastback

          Unveiled on April 17, 1964 at the World’s Fair in New York, the Mustang Fastback changed the way we see sports cars. It was so fresh, fast and completely one-of-a-kind that they had to create the Pony Car Segment just to categorize it. With the classic long deck and short hood that remains today, the original Mustang looked as fast as it felt, hitting 0-100 kph in 9.3 seconds.

          1969 and 2021 Mustang Mach 1

          Named after the speed of sound, the 1969 Mustang Mach 1 brought Mustang into a new version for the 2021 model year. Standard-issue in the Mach 1 was the Two-Barrel H-Code 351 Windsor, which offered 250 horsepower. A complete package, the Mach 1 came with a Hood Blackout, Scoop, Side and Trunk Stripe Decals, Quad Exhaust Tips and Chrome-Styled Steel Wheels. And, for added comfort on the track, Ford equipped this marvel with competition suspension and a Unique Deluxe interior with Wood-Grained Trim.

          1967 and 2021 Shelby™ GT500™

          When the world-renowned and race-proven Cobra was upgraded in 1967, people got what they expected – an icon. The GT500™ made a name for itself immediately with a sharp, aerodynamic frame and a 428 cu.-in. V8 Engine with two 600 CFM Holley Four-Barrel Carburetors. But Carroll Shelby always said that his favourite car was the next one. This need for innovation led Ford to the most powerful street-legal Ford ever with a supercharged 5.2L V8 Engine producing 760 horsepower. *

Now, after five years, the Blue Oval returns to the Circuit de la Sarthe. It’s officially entering the global FIA GT3 category and racing in 2024 — with the Mustang GT3 race car — based on the brand-new 2024 Mustang Dark Horse™ model.
