      7.3L V8 Gas Engine

      The 7.3L V8 gas engine features a gas V8 output of 335 hp and torque of 468 lb.-ft. at 3,750 rpm.* This engine features an overhead valve architecture that generates power low in the rev range to help get heavier loads moving with confidence. It also features a variable-displacement oil pump, extra-large main bearings, forged steel crankshaft for durability and piston cooling jets to help manage temperatures under heavy load.

      6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel Engine

      The 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel engine has a standard power rating of 270 hp/800 lb.-ft. of torque.* You also have your choice of available 300 hp/825 lb.-ft. of torque and 330 hp/850 lb.-ft. of torque power ratings.* The 6.7L was tested to over 500,000 miles (800,000 km) of simulated customer driving, which contributes to a B10 design life of more than three-quarters of a million kilometres.** The unique inverse-flow design locates the turbocharger between the cylinder heads and the top of the block, with the exhaust manifold inboard and close to the turbo, for faster air displacement and greater power. The standard driver-activated engine exhaust braking restricts exhaust flow to create back pressure for seamless braking and reduced brake wear on downhill grades.†

      Ford TorqShift® Heavy-Duty Automatic Transmissions

      Ford TorqShift® transmissions are specially engineered to handle the heavy demands of the BUILT FORD TOUGH® F-650 and F-750. The SelectShift® feature includes Progressive Range Select, which limits the range of gears to lock out overdrive. The Tow/Haul feature selects the gear that minimizes gear hunting on uphills, and prevents upshifting and speed increases on downhills to reduce the need for brake pressure. And TorqShift transmissions offer live-drive Power Take-Off (PTO) capability with stationary and mobile modes, standard with diesel and available with gas.

        Live-Drive Power Take-Off (PTO) Provision with Mobile Mode

        The Ford TorqShift® HD 10-Speed Automatic Transmission, included with diesel engines, has the live-drive Power Take-Off (PTO) provision as standard equipment. An output PTO gear connects directly to the transmission's torque converter impeller hub to allow live-drive to power the PTO any time the engine is running, whether the truck is moving or stopped. Split-shaft capability (diesel only) allows for the installation of a split-shaft gearbox attached to the output shaft of the transmission, which provides torque to two separate PTO outlets when the truck is in stationary mode. The TorqShift HD 6-Speed Automatic Transmission with the available live-drive PTO provision includes stationary and mobile modes for gas engines.*

        Ford F-650 and F-750 trucks feature a work-ready frame. Developed with leading upfitters, these frames require few or no modifications to accommodate vocational bodies. This collaboration resulted in the relocation of such components as fuel tanks, battery boxes and diesel exhaust fluid reservoirs under the cab. You can choose from 29 standard clean CA offerings ranging from 84" to 207" (2,134 mm to 5,258 mm). Plus, the available Upfitter Interface Module (UIM) allows you to develop "smart" logic controls for your final-stage installed equipment—allowing you to be confident in controlling unique upfit functions.

        Auto High-Beam Headlamps

        Auto High-Beam Headlamps

        We've all been there. Heading into a pitch-black stretch of road and having to turn on the high beams—then forgetting to turn them off again as oncoming traffic approaches. Now, unlit roads, dark peripheries and other low-visibility situations don't have to catch you off guard. Available Auto High-Beam Headlamps10 can sense poor lighting conditions and switch on to light your path ahead, then dim automatically to keep you from blinding other drivers. So you can keep your focus on the road—and both hands on the wheel.

        Traction Control

        It helps to be prepared, especially in slippery situations. Traction Control,19 standard on all Ford Medium Duty models, can help limit tire slip during acceleration on slippery or loose surfaces, whether on- or off-road. Sensors measure differences in speed and, when it is determined one wheel is spinning more quickly, automatically adjust engine power (torque) to that wheel to maximize traction. Brake pressure may also be applied in certain conditions.

        Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support

        Getting too close to the vehicle ahead? Available Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support10 can alert you to a potential collision: an alert will be displayed in the instrument cluster and an audible alert will sound. Prior to a potential collision, the brakes will precharge and increase sensitivity, providing full responsiveness when you do brake.

        Lane-Keeping Alert

        It happens. Maybe you're caught up listening to your favourite podcast or need your morning coffee, but you've wandered a little too close to the edge of your lane. Luckily, the available Lane-Keeping Alert10 can help you stay in your lane, even during a moment of distraction. This smart feature scans your vehicle's position between the lines in the road ahead and can alert you if you're starting to edge out of your lane. Having trouble staying on track? After you've drifted a few times, you'll see a coffee cup icon, letting you know it's time to take a break.

        Adaptive Cruise Control

        Available only on F-650 and F-750 models with air brakes, available Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)10 takes conventional cruise control to a new level. It lets you select a target speed and distance you want to maintain from the vehicle in front of you. When traffic ahead slows down, you automatically do too, and later resume the preset speed when traffic picks back up. Distance Alert, available on all F-650 and F-750 models, helps to keep you more aware of the vehicles in front of you, so that you may maintain a distance. Distance Alert monitors the distance from your vehicle to the vehicle in front of you, providing a continuous graphical display representing the actual distance between you and that vehicle, allowing you added support in maintaining an appropriate gap.
