Why was my Ford warranty cancelled?
Ford of Canada may cancel all or part of the manufacturer's warranty when a vehicle has excessive non-warrantable conditions present or the owner declines completing necessary repairs.
Submitting for Possible Warranty Reinstatement
Your Ford Dealer is in the best position to complete the necessary repairs and then request warranty reinstatement, which must be reviewed before determining if the warranty can be reinstated.
- Repairs (otherwise covered under a valid warranty) must be completed at your expense, restoring the vehicle to Original Equipment (OE) standards. It is highly recommended to have repairs completed at your preferred dealer.
- Once repairs are performed, a dealer must review receipts and inspect the vehicle for consideration of warranty reinstatement.
