What do I do if I cannot send text messages using SYNC?

If you are unable to send text messages using SYNC®*, try restarting and pairing your phone using the instructions below.

  1. Restart your phone.
    1. Turn off the device.
    2. Remove the device's battery (if applicable).
    3. Reinstall the battery and turn on the device.
    4. Allow the phone to re-pair with your vehicle.

      Note: If the phone does not pair with your vehicle, continue to Step 2.

  2. Try sending a text message. 
    • If it goes through, your issue is resolved.
    • If it does not go through, proceed to step 3.
  3. Pair the phone.
    1. Remove the paired device from SYNC.
    2. Pair your device again.
