Why am I seeing a "Performing Scheduled Maintenance” message on my vehicle's display?
In order to ensure proper performance, your SYNC system may occasionally reset itself. When this happens, you will see a “Performing Scheduled Maintenance” message on your vehicle's touchscreen display. This message will also show if you perform a Master Reset on your system.
If you find that your system is resetting itself multiple times a day, please go through the following steps:
- Ensure you have the latest SYNC Updates on your system. If you install any updates, please allow time after making the updates to determine if the concern has been resolved.
- Determine if the numerous restarts occur when a specific USB or Bluetooth device is connected. This may indicate that there is a communication issue between the device and SYNC.
- If your SYNC system is up to date and the restarts do not appear to be related to a specific device, please contact our Customer Relationship Centre at 1-800-565-3673.
