Can I cancel my SYNC®* 4 Connected Navigation service(s) plan?
Unfortunately, once paid for, the SYNC 4 Connected Navigation plan is non-refundable. However, for the remainder of your Connected Navigation Service plan (either the Connected Navigation 90-day trial** or Connected Built-In Navigation 3 years of service***), you will have access to great content such as weather information, YELP reviews of locations you wish to visit, and other pertinent information.

Why can I not find the option to purchase or renew the SYNC 4 Connected Navigation package?
The option to purchase or renew the SYNC 4 Connected Navigation package is only available within 30 days of the subscription expiration date. 

When does the free trial period start?
The free trial begins on the vehicle's warranty start date.

Can a second owner of the vehicle take advantage of the free trial?
Yes. However, the free trial period must fall within the vehicle's warranty start date and the free trial’s end date.

  • Connected Navigation** has a free trial of 90 days. 
  • Connected Built-in Navigation*** has a free trial of 3 years.

Where can I purchase or renew a SYNC 4 Connected Navigation package?
Visit www.ford.ca/connectedservices to purchase or renew the SYNC 4 Connected Navigation package. You can also access the website through the FordPass™**** App:

  1. Log in to the FordPass App.
  2. Select Account.
  3. Select Connected Services.
  4. Copy the link provided and paste it into your device's browser to access the Connected Services website.

How much does a SYNC 4 Connected Navigation package cost?
Both the Connected Navigation** (90-day trial) and Built-In Navigation*** (3 years of service) package cost $120 per year once the trial period has ended. 

Which credit cards do you take as payment?
MasterCard, Visa, and American Express are accepted.

Why is the purchase option grayed out when I entered my credit card info?
Ensure the following:

  • The radio button must be selected to set the credit card entered as the default card. 
  • The radio button must be selected for Terms and Conditions.
  • The security code on the back of the credit card, credit card expiry, credit card number, and name on the credit card must be entered exactly as it appears. 

If there is still an issue, contact your credit card provider.

If you completed the purchase on the Connected Services site but have not received an email confirmation, check your junk mail to see if it appears there.

Will I be able to auto-renew?
No, you will need to manually renew within 30 days of the expiration date as credit card information is not stored. Reminder notifications will appear on your vehicle's SYNC screen and in the FordPass App during your trial's last 30 days.

After your trial has ended, you will have the option to purchase a Connected Navigation services plan at any time to return the full functionality of the Connected Navigation services. The purchase would then be for one calendar year, with the purchase date as the start date.

Why am I receiving "No Services Available" when I attempt to sign-up for the Navigation package?
This means that your vehicle is not eligible/equipped for Connected Built-In Navigation*** or Connected Navigation**.

*Don’t drive while distracted. Use voice-operated systems when possible; don’t use handheld devices while driving. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.

**Connected Navigation: Navigation services require SYNC 4 and FordPass Connect (optional on select vehicles), complimentary Connected Service, and the FordPass App (see FordPass Terms and Conditions for details). Eligible vehicles receive a complimentary 90-day trial of navigation services that begins on the new vehicle warranty start date. Customers must unlock the navigation service trial by activating the eligible vehicle with a FordPass member account. If not subscribed by the end of the complimentary period, the navigation service will terminate. Connected Service and features depend on compatible network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent operation of connected features.

***Connected Built-In Navigation services require SYNC 4 and FordPass Connect (optional on select vehicles), complimentary connected service, and the FordPass App (see FordPass terms for details). Eligible vehicles receive a complimentary 3-year trial of navigation services that begins on the new vehicle warranty start date. Customers must unlock the navigation service trial by activating the eligible vehicle with a FordPass member account. If not subscribed by the end of the complimentary period, the connected navigation service will terminate, and the system will revert to embedded offline navigation. Connected service and features depend on compatible network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent operation of connected features.
