How do I activate my SYNC Connected Navigation trial?

To set up your SYNC^®* 4A or SYNC 4 Connected Navigation^** trial, download the FordPass^®† App and activate FordPass^®†† Connect modem. You will be automatically enrolled in the Connected Navigation trial once the modem is activated. 

Notes: 

• Connected Navigation is only available for Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 4A or SYNC 4.
• The Connected Navigation trial starts on the vehicle's warranty start date, not the date the modem is activated.

Identifying Your SYNC Generation

There are two resources to help you identify your vehicle's SYNC generation:

• The SYNC and Navigation Updates page. Either:
  • Enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and select Check for updates.

  • Log in with your Ford credentials, choose a vehicle from your garage, and select Check for updates.

    Note: Your SYNC generation will appear on the right-hand side of the page.

• The SYNC Visual Reference Guide, which provides example images of SYNC generations that Ford has offered.

Activating Your Connected Navigation Trial

Download the FordPass App and activate your Lincoln Connect modem to set up your Connected Navigation trial.

1. Download the FordPass App on the App Store^®‡ or Google Play™^‡‡.      
        
    

2. Log in to the FordPass App using your existing Ford Account username and password or create an account.

   Note: If you are experiencing issues logging into your account, refer to How do I reset the password for my Ford account?

3. Add your FordPass Connect-equipped vehicle to your profile.
4. Activate your FordPass Connect modem.

You will be automatically enrolled in the Connected Navigation trial once the modem is activated.
