How are Ford recalls determined?

Ford Motor Company and Transport Canada work together to proactively identify areas of concern based on consumer and dealer feedback.

All recall programs are Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) specific, and may be identified by specific build dates within a model year, the assembly plant, or other factors. If a program is announced on a vehicle, Ford will notify the last owner of record by mail.

If your vehicle is involved in a recall, contact your Ford Dealer as soon as possible to schedule an appointment.
