Where can I find specifications for my Ford vehicle?
You can obtain your vehicle's specifications on the door jamb label, your window sticker, a Build Sheet, or a VIN Decode Letter.
Finding Your Vehicle's Specifications
Select a method from the drop-down options below to learn more about finding the specifications for your vehicle:
Door Jamb Label
The Safety Compliance Certification Label, or door jamb label, is located on the driver's side door jamb (door latch post pillar).
It provides the following information:
- DATE: Date of manufacture

- GVWR: Gross Axle Weight Rating for each axle of the vehicle
- TIRE: Tire size
- RIM: Rim size
- PRESSURE: Recommended tire inflation pressure
- EXT PNT: Exterior paint code
- WB: Wheelbase
- INT TR: Interior Trim
- TR: Transmission (auto/manual)
- SPR: Spring
- AXLE: Axle code
Window Sticker
The window sticker provides information that helps you identify which features your vehicle is equipped with. Window stickers are generated at the time of a vehicle's production and provide information on a vehicle such as:
- The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP).
- Model Information (e.g., engine and transmission specifications, colour, year).
- Standard Equipment.
- Optional Equipment.
- Pricing Information.
- Fuel economy ratings.
- Crash-test ratings.
You can purchase a duplicate window sticker if your vehicle is a 2007 model year or newer.
Build Sheet
Build Sheets provide the complete factory options list and door data plate info for Ford Motor Company vehicles. They provide details such as engine and transmission size, paint codes, production date, axle code and ratio, and more.
