How do I find the Gross Combination Weight Rating of my Ford?
The Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR) also known as the Gross Combined Weight Rating of a vehicle, is the maximum allowable weight of the vehicle, cargo, passengers, and trailer combined.
The GCWR is determined by several factors:
- Vehicle
- Engine
- Transmission
- Axle Ratio
- Optional equipment
- Trailer hitch type used (weight distributing, non-weight distributing, or gooseneck)
To find the GCWR:
- Visit the RV & Trailer Towing Guides page on the Ford Fleet website.
- Select the Towing Guide for your vehicle's model year.
- Refer to the "Axle Ratio" table to determine your rear axle ratio and Limited Slip.
Tip: To search within the Towing Guide on a computer, press CTRL+F on your keyboard to open a search box in your browser. You can then enter any term (e.g., GCWR) to search the guide.
