How do I find the Gross Combination Weight Rating of my Ford?

The Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR) also known as the Gross Combined Weight Rating of a vehicle, is the maximum allowable weight of the vehicle, cargo, passengers, and trailer combined.

The GCWR is determined by several factors:

  • Vehicle
  • Engine
  • Transmission
  • Axle Ratio
  • Optional equipment
  • Trailer hitch type used (weight distributing, non-weight distributing, or gooseneck)

To find the GCWR:

  1. Visit the RV & Trailer Towing Guides page on the Ford Fleet website.
  2. Select the Towing Guide for your vehicle's model year.
  3. Refer to the "Axle Ratio" table to determine your rear axle ratio and Limited Slip.

Tip: To search within the Towing Guide on a computer, press CTRL+F on your keyboard to open a search box in your browser. You can then enter any term (e.g., GCWRto search the guide.
