How do I request a Recall Clearance Letter for my Ford?
You can request a Recall Clearance Letter by contacting our Customer Relationship Centre through our Live Chat option or by calling 1-800-565-3673.
As part of the export process, a foreign government may require a Recall Clearance Letter to confirm that the vehicle being imported is free of open safety, compliance, or emissions recalls. This letter is drafted on Ford Motor Company of Canada stationery and certifies that the vehicle does not have any open recalls.
Notes:
- All open recalls must be performed by a Ford Dealer before publishing the letter. To check for recall on your vehicle, visit the Ford Recall page, and enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
- If you are an American resident or your vehicle was built for use in the United States (U.S.), contact the Ford Customer Relationship Centre at 1-800-392-3673.
