How does the Glare-Free Lighting work on my Ford?
Ford's Glare-Free Lighting system* enhances visibility on the road by automatically adapting your vehicle’s exterior lights to reduce glare for oncoming traffic.
How Glare-Free Lighting Works
Once the system detects an approaching vehicle's headlamps or rear lamps, your vehicle's lighting will be adjusted accordingly.
Your vehicle's Glare-Free Lighting system automatically turns on (if equipped) if the following circumstances occur:
- You set the lighting control to the autolamps position.
- The outside light level is low enough.
- Your vehicle speed is greater than approximately 52 km/h.
How to Manually Activate/Deactivate the Glare-Free System
- Press Settings on your vehicle's SYNC®** screen.
- Press Vehicle Settings.
- Press Lighting.
- Switch Glare-Free Lighting to On or Off.
