How do I program a spare key for my Ford?

You can only program an additional key if you have Intelligent Access keys or Smart keys as shown below.

To program your own spare keys, follow the procedure outlined in your Owner's Manual under the "Security" section.

You must have two previously programmed coded keys and the new unprogrammed key readily accessible. If two previously programmed coded keys are unavailable, contact your Ford Dealer to have a new key programmed.

The number of spare keys you can program depends on your vehicle's model and year. Refer to your Owner's Manual for more information.
