How can I get a spare key for my Ford?
Option 1: Program Your Keys
If you already have two previously programmed keys, you can program your own coded keys using the procedures outlined in your Owner's Manual under:
- Programming a Spare Intelligent Access Key or
- Programming a Spare Integrated Keyhead Transmitter
Option 2: Purchase keys
You can also purchase spare keys from your Ford Dealer. The cost of a new key varies. For additional information, contact your Ford Dealer.
For security reasons, you must visit the dealership in person and provide proof of identification and vehicle ownership:
- Personal identification such as a valid Driver's License or a province-issued picture I.D.
- Vehicle documentation with the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and the name of the person seeking the key codes, such as a current Vehicle Registration, current Certificate of Automobile Insurance, Vehicle Title, or Bill of Sale
