How do I turn on my FordPass Wi-Fi connection?

You can turn on your Wi-Fi Hotspot®* using your vehicle's SYNC®** screen or the FordPass®† App, if you have an active FordPass account and a data plan with Bell.

Important:

Turn On Wi-Fi Using FordPass 

  1. Log in to FordPass. 
  2. Go to the Vehicle screen. 
  3. Tap the Features and Settings header.
  4. Select the Wi-Fi Hotspot tile.
  5. Tap Wi-Fi Settings
  6. Toggle the switch to the right for On

Turn On Wi-Fi Using SYNC

  1. Access your vehicle. 
  2. Ensure your vehicle is on, running, in park, and in a well-ventilated area. 
  3. Tap the Vehicle image.
  4. Select Vehicle Hotspot.
  5. Toggle the slider to the right for On

*Wi-Fi hotspot includes wireless data trial that begins upon Bell activation and expires at the end of 3 months or when 3GB of data is used, whichever comes first, but cannot extend beyond the trial subscription period for remote features. To activate, go to www.bell.ca/connectedcar.

**Don’t drive while distracted. Use voice-operated systems when possible; don’t use handheld devices while driving. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.

Connected service and features depend on compatible Bell network availability.
