How do I manage Remote Climate Controls in the FordPass®* App?
You can adjust your climate controls using the remote command menu in the FordPass App. Use the steps below for more details.
Note: This feature is only available in the FordPass App 5.X experience.
FordPass Climate Control Requirements
To use Climate Controls with FordPass, you must:
- Have an active FordPass account.
Have a vehicle capable of the remote climate control feature added to FordPass.
Note: This is currently available on Battery Electric Vehicles.
- Activate your FordPass® Connect** modem to access remote controls.
Editing Remote Climate Controls in FordPass
To manage your climate controls in FordPass:
- Open the FordPass App.
- Go to the Vehicle screen.
Tap the Fan icon to remote start your vehicle.
Note: Your vehicle preconditioning should begin.
- Tap the Climate Settings box.
- Adjust the settings, as needed, for the following:
- Target cabin temperature
- Defroster
- Heated steering wheel
- Seats
The last saved selections will remain as the default climate setting.

**FordPass Connect (optional on select vehicles), the Ford Pass App, and Complimentary Connected Service are required for remote features (see FordPass Terms and Conditions for details). Connected Service and features depend on compatible cellular network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent the operation of connected features. Connected Service excludes Bell Wi-Fi hotspot.
