What do I do if I am unable to add a VIN to the FordPass App?

Why am I unable to add my Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to FordPass®*?

If you experience issues when attempting to add your VIN to FordPass, use the troubleshooting steps below. 

Check the VIN: 

  1. Check the VIN you entered. 
  2. Ensure you entered the correct VIN.

Note: VINs do not include the letters I, O, and Q to avoid confusion with the numbers one and zero.

Try the Scan VIN option:

  1. Select the camera icon on the Add Vehicle screen.
  2. You will have the option to automatically add the VIN by scanning the VIN barcode on your door label.
