Can I use my BlueOval Charge Network account abroad?
Yes, you can use your BlueOval™ Charge Network account to charge your Electric Vehicle when travelling in the United States (U.S.) and Canada. However, some payment methods and available charge stations may differ.
Vehicles Sold in Canada Visiting the U.S.
When travelling to the U.S., there may be differences in your payment methods and charge station options when using the BlueOval Charge Network.
Vehicles originally manufactured for sale in Canada do not have access to Electrify America stations within the BlueOval Charge Network through the FordPass App. If you are using an Electrify America charging station, complete the payment for the charge session by either using the station's payment terminal with a credit card or by using the Electrify America app.
When charging in the U.S., your payment transactions will be processed in U.S. dollars by Ford Motor Company. Since your payment will not be converted to your local currency, you will not be charged conversion fees.
Vehicles Sold in the U.S. Visiting Canada
When travelling to Canada, you may need to change your payment method before you charge using the BlueOval Charge Network. American Express® and Discover® cards are not currently accepted by Ford of Canada. If you have one of these cards set as your default payment method, you will need to switch to either a Visa® or Mastercard® in your digital wallet to prevent service interruption.
Note: If your BlueOval Charge Network account has been placed "On Hold" due to payment issues within Canada, ensure you have a Visa or Mastercard added to your digital wallet, and set it as your default payment method before you reprocess the failed payment through the Connected Services web page.
