How do I set up and update my Ford Charge Station Pro?
You can set up your Ford Charge Station Pro with the FordPass®* App and the Ford Charge Station Pro Setup App. Once setup is complete, your charge station will be able to ensure it is on the latest software with nightly update checks.
Setting up my Charge Station Pro
Important: You must have WiFi enabled in order to use an 80A charger as it is not Bluetooth compatible.
- Log in to the FordPass App.
- Go to Energy.
- Select Charge Station.
- Tap Get Started.
- Select 80A Charge Station Pro.
- Tap Let's Go to download the Ford Charge Station Setup App.
- Install the Ford Charge Station Setup App from the Google Play™ Store or the App Store®:
- Follow the instructions in the Ford Charge Station Pro Setup App to complete the station setup.
Checking for Charge Station Updates
Keeping your charge station up-to-date helps ensure a good charging experience. Your charger will check for updates once per night between the hours of 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. EST.
Ensure your charger is receiving updates by leaving your vehicle unplugged for at least one hour between the hours of 9 p.m. and 1 a.m EST.
Important:
- Software updates are automatic, and cannot be initiated manually.
- Updates take about 15 minutes to download and install.
- If an update takes longer than 48 hours to install from the moment the charge station connects to Wi-Fi, contact the Customer Relationship Centre using our Live Chat option or by calling 1-800-565-3673.
