The 2023 F-53 Motorhome Stripped Chassis and 2023 F-59 Commercial Stripped Chassis are powered by the standard 7.3L 2V DEVCT NA PFI V8 Gas Engine with 6-Speed TorqShift® Automatic Transmission. The 7.3L features a free-breathing 2-valve-per-cylinder induction system and generates an impressive 350 horsepower11 and 468 lb.-ft. of torque.11

TORQSHIFT® 6-SPEED AUTOMATIC OVERDRIVE WITH TOW/HAUL MODE

The Ford TorqShift® SelectShift® Automatic Transmission is designed for tough commercial-duty applications with a rugged torque converter and large-capacity fluid pump for optimal cooling and durability. The SelectShift® feature includes Progressive Range Select (for overdrive lockout) plus Full Manual. The Tow/Haul mode automatically compensates for altitude, grade and load conditions, and delays transmission upshifts to help reduce the frequency of gear hunting.

CNG/PROPANE GASEOUS ENGINE PREP PACKAGE

The CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep Package for power conversion to compressed natural gas (CNG) or propane autogas is available with the F-53 and F-59 Engines at time of order. Included are hardened engine intake valves, exhaust valves and valve seats. *
